But there is no need for you to panic. You just need to know how to use your credit cards safely on the internet, especially on the sporting or betting sites. If taken some precautions in hand, you can enjoy these activities safely.

Firstly, you should know that when opening an account in any of these online gaming sites, you are required to give your credit card numbers so as to deposit funds through it. Thus, when considering online gaming, you have to research and verify weather you are dealing with a serious site or not. There are too many fraud websites lurking and searching for you in the web. Thus, you have to spend a good time searching for gaming sites originality information, if possible, hunt down for credentials and personal recommendations of experienced online gamers.

Once you get involved into a gamming site, your credit card number will be asked to deposit money on your account and that is when it is safe. But you should remember there are millions of criminals who will try to reach you after you have entered your credit card number. Possibly, you may get emails saying, “Re-enter your credit card number for verifications,” do not bother them. If ever you get any external course asking for your credit card information, just do not bother them, as they are just a fraudulent attempt to get your credit card informations and empty your account.

Another vital information you have to check out is whether your chosen gaming site has enabled e-gambling transactions. Before feeing your credit cards information to the gamming site, find out weather your bank allows any such transactions. Most banks are very clear and have written in fine lines in their terms and conditions of usage about them blocking any gambling transaction from their company. Thus, you should talk with your bank properly to find out if they allow such transactions before you register into a gamming site.

Online gaming options are a modern and advanced mode of gaming. It is fun, enjoyable, and amusing choice for you if you tend to play with serious intention of enjoying your life to the fullest. BUT before that, spend a few minutes searching for the originality and quality of the service you are stepping into.

Tips for Your Home Networks

February 26th, 2009 admin No comments

networkingWith the increasing number of computers in office as well as homes, demand of computer networking is on rise. Every one wants to share data as well as hardware components of every system through a common gateway and that’s only possible with the help of a perfect computer networking. Most of the PC users are now connected to internet through fast speed broadband connection and hence they are even keener to use large data through a common platform. Networking has never been an easy task, due to its complexity many users prefer to share only printers and files. There are several ways by which you can set up an interactive computer network at your home or in office.

Wireless networking is quite feasible, convenient and easy to use but when it comes of reliability and security then it lags behind. Latest wifi technology enables some easy techniques to set up networks but give more preference to Ethernet cable to PC networking. Network sharing through LAN wires with the help of Ethernet adaptors is the best techniques. If LAN wire is not feasible to use then you could even use general electric wire with the help of powerline adaptors. Hence your cost for the LAN wire will cut down and will compensated by powerline adaptors that can be found for around $100.

While sharing multiple laptops together in a network that need some portability then the wireless networking would be the best option. The latest N generation routers provides some added speed to the transferring of data and even costs twice as that of earlier G generation routers. Such a routers is only required if large chunks of data is needed to be transferred frequently. Covering range of N generation routers is also more than enough for an average home or office network.

Through wireless networking, parts of the broadband connection may also be shared. Due to unsafe security settings, sometimes it may happen that intruders can also share a part of your broadband without your permission. For such situations, Fon Router is there to ensure completely safety.

Another effective way to setup safe and secure wireless network by using software named as Network Magic. PCs can easily be linked to a network through this software. With its help, user can also control the entry of different systems into the network. Free version of this software is available on internet, but it can only enable some basic network components, its $30 version enables complete sharing but can only be installed in 3 computers at a time. To increase the connectivity up to 8 PC, $50 version of software will be needed.

To add some extra protection to your wireless network you may opt for some open source software like AVG from Grisoft or Norton internet security 2009. AVG ensures a virus free networking to all the system users, its paid version is even faster and add extra spyware protection to the network.

FEW WAYS YOU CAN APPLY TO SECURE YOURSELF WHILE SCAMS ARE THE THREATS

November 12th, 2008 admin No comments

There are plenty of so called bad guys out there smart enough to know the fact that most of the computer users now use firewalls & strong anti virus to protect the pc from unwanted hazards. So when their Trojan fails on your operating system they use a different way. They scam.

As the scams are being made with more & more sophistication, our duty as a safe user is to know the nature of the scams & ways to protect our pc from it. Pishing is an easy and effective way to get rid of the scams. The latest security suits offer this facility. In a nut shell it works like when you are about to visit a corrupted site then the browser will send you specially designed warning page that will warn you & advice you not to go ahead with the site. If you care to listen to the instruction then you might decide not to visit the site. You can also take your chances to visit the site but that would be counted as your own responsibility.

The origin of the word is funny as the word itself. It is derived from the phrase “fishing for personal information”. Many known people have defined the term but the basic meaning stays the same: some one will try to know your personal details that could be used to cheat you or steal from you. Things like credit card numbers, passwords, names of the parents etc. they would do anything to know anything about you that could help them.

Now comes the question. How can I secure my pc & my bank account & personal information from these bad guys? The answers are few. First of all always keep your browser updated by visiting the browser designer’ site. Never even by mistake give away your personal information in e-mail.  The most common way they use is an e-mail which is designed so that it looks like a bank has sent it to you. They will make you visit links that you should never visit. One thing to be noted is , no established & fair company will ever want you to give out your personal information over net.

You are sincerely requested not to call any numbers you got from the fake sites. It has become an essential part of our daily life to depend on computer. & it is our responsibility to protect our pc & most importantly our personal interest from a group of people trying to exploit you.
